Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) has undergone significant change since 2020. With new airport leadership, new-entrant airlines, record passenger growth, and ongoing capital improvements in response to constrained infrastructure and facilities, PSP prioritized determining its crisis communications planning and asked Aviatrix Communications to deliver its expertise.
Aviatrix developed a crisis communications plan for PSP tailored specifically for the airport’s current and future needs. Additionally, Aviatrix trained PSP’s public information officers (PIOs) on how to use the plan, its templates, and its resources. Aviatrix Communications’ airport experts also reiterated that the plan is a living document, which must be reviewed, revised and implemented during normal operations so that leadership and PIOs can confidently respond to the airport’s many stakeholders during irregular and emergency operations.
