We helped make history! After months of planning (and years of working), San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) celebrated its first-ever commercial flights. The airport becomes the newest federalized airport in the nation now that Breeze Airways offers nonstop service to San Francisco International Airport, along with direct, same-plane service to Provo, Utah. A Super Big Deal!
Aviatrix Communications helped coordinate the launch events for both arriving and departing passengers. The festivities included a Cake of the Week contender as well as commemorative gift bags, a curated DJ set list featuring Bay-Area themed hits, ribbon cutting with Breeze Airways President Tom Doxey and several regional leaders, and even a gate-side trivia game. Aviatrix Communications managed the media, developed press kits, coordinated vendors, and cut cake. Framed by a water cannon salute for both the arriving and departing flights, the team at Aviatrix Communications successfully supported a series of entertaining events that lived up to the historic SBD milestone.
