We are so happy to announce the completion of one of our biggest projects to date: a new brand for the Palm Springs International Airport!
Palm Springs International Airport serves the vibrant Coachella Valley, an area known for its desert playscapes and its midcentury modern flair. Perhaps surprisingly in such a design-friendly community, the airport didnโt have its own identity. Instead, the airport utilized a modified version of the convention and visitors bureauโa script logo that did not translate well to social media or other digital spaces.
Aviatrix Communications worked with the team at PSP to create a new brand that nods to the regionโs iconic past while propelling the airport effortlessly into the future. The Aviatrix team made sure the new logo was characteristic of midcentury modern designโa cornerstone of the Palm Springs community. It is comprised of four unique geometric shapes, which combine to create a negative-space airplane. The brand colors are reflective of the region itself: golf-course green and sky blue, desert brick and sunshine yellow, and a crisp, deep gray to anchor it all. The complementary color palette offers the airport a diverse range of friendly, modern, and sophisticated hues to use for everything from the airportโs website to its vehicle fleet. We look forward to seeing this brand uplift the airport within the community! And if youโre looking to update your organizationโs brand, drop us a line. Weโd love to chat.
