It may be chilly outside, but it was tropical inside Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) this December! Aviatrix Communications helped the airport celebrate its inaugural service to Miami (MIA) on American Airlines. As coordinators of the two consecutive inaugural passenger and stakeholder celebrations, we worked to develop a lively, festive atmosphere—utilizing everything from tropical plants to plastic flamingos—for the early-morning flight. We also brought in the feel of Miami’s Little Havana by coordinating with local vendors to provide Cuban pastries and live Latin guitar music. The end result was a series of entertaining events, grateful passengers, and one happy community.
