The best news an airport can share is that it’s offering new nonstop service to a hotly anticipated destination, and we at Aviatrix spent much of last year helping airports do just that. We got to begin 2020 in the same spirit, by supporting the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport (SBP) as it launched nonstop daily service to San Diego (SAN) on Alaska Airlines. Aviatrix Communications provided key services like developing an ad campaign, managing the media, and coordinating the inaugural event and press conference. Alaska Airlines’ team was essential on the ground and from corporate headquarters, sending custom inaugural flight pins and premium chocolates. And regional tourism partner Visit SLO CAL provided gift bags for both arriving and departing passengers–as well as arranging for a special onboard toast with local wine.
Together with our partners, we made sure that the airport, its travelers, and its community had a great time celebrating the new connection of SLO CAL and So Cal.
