One airport authority, three very different audiences: the public, pilots and golfers. We rebuilt all three websites in about six months, and launched the golf course first so it was ready for the season.

design, development, content migration, Title II accessibility, integrations, hosting, support and training
The challenge
The authority’s own review of its websites read like a punch list. Board agendas, packets and minutes were hard to manage. The same information appeared in several places, and not always the same way. There was no way to apply for a job online. On the FBO site, fuel prices were uploaded by hand, and the pages were cluttered and not fully mobile-friendly. At the golf club, the e-club sign-up had quietly stopped reaching the mailing list, and the site was slow.
All three sites also stopped visitors from zooming in on their phones, which fails WCAG, and the authority and FBO sites had no privacy policy or accessibility statement. With the Title II accessibility rule ahead, accessibility sat at the top of the list.
The work
We kept the sites on WordPress so staff didn’t have to learn a new system, and rebuilt everything else. The authority and FBO sites share a design. The golf club got one of its own.
- Golf first. Prairie Landing launched in April, ahead of the season, with online event tickets, gift cards, an events calendar and job postings.
- Board records in one place. 416 separate minutes posts and 12 yearly agenda pages became a single Board Meeting Resources page listing 123 meetings by date, committee and location, with the agenda, notice and minutes for each.
- An archive for older records. 275 PDFs from 2020 to 2025 sit in a document archive, each with a button to request an accessible version.
- Fuel prices entered once. FBO staff update prices by hand or from a spreadsheet, and the change reaches the home page, the full price sheet and the fuel calculator.
- A fuel-price email sign-up connected straight to the FBO’s mailing list.
- Privacy, terms, disclaimer and accessibility pages on every site, plus site search on each.
Three sites, three audiences

The results
- The authority site went from 56 pages, 57 posts and 416 separate minutes posts to 23 focused pages and one board records page.
- The FBO site went from 23 pages to 11, and the golf site shed a dozen test and duplicate pages.
- All three sites built and tested to WCAG 2.1 AA, the Title II standard, with automated tools and by hand. Zoom works again on every page.
- Fuel prices, events, ticket sales, gift cards, jobs and board records are now things staff handle themselves.
- Privacy and accessibility pages where there were none.
- All three sites launched ahead of the contract’s June 1 deadline.
