Won’t You Be Our Neighbor?

SBD Good Neighbor Airport Noise Program Website Development

We’re excited to help our friends at SBD International Airport launch the SBD Good Neighbor Program! The airport has begun a proactive outreach program to educate its community on airport activity. We are proud to have helped the airport create a cheerful program brand, engaging outreach strategy, and dynamic website. We will also continue to provide SBD program guidance, social media management, and media relations. The airport has a great staff and we are thrilled to support them as they educate and listen to their neighbors.

SBD, the former Norton Air Force Base that was decommissioned in 1994, has been a leading contributor to the region’s economic prosperity for nearly 80 years. Federal, state, and local leaders partnered to reimagine a reuse plan for the airport, and these efforts have resulted in a now-thriving airport, with air cargo, corporate and general aviation, and aviation support services operating on the airfield.

To quote airport director Mark Gibbs, “increased operations from emergency services like fire-fighting aircraft and sheriff helicopters, as well as air cargo planes and general aviation aircraft, can make our skies seem like a pretty busy place. The SBD Good Neighbor Program allows the airport to explain the operations at the airport and, most importantly, to receive feedback from those who live and work nearby. Our goal is to treat our local residents and businesses with the respect and consideration they would find in a good neighbor.”

We look forward to helping SBD remain an engaging community partner.
