Congratulations to our friends at the Hayward Executive Airport (HWD) on an incredibly successful event!
The Hayward Airport Open House, held on September 11, was a tribute to veterans and first responders. Returning for the first time since 2019, the airport wanted its open house to make a splash in the local community, and tapped Aviatrix Communications to develop a vintage event brand, including website, flyers, billboards, and print advertisements in both English and Spanish.
Although many of the Aviatrix team worked on the project, our Rosemary Barnes also had the pleasure of attending, and shared her pictures, included below.
The free, family-friendly event was attended by more than 2,000 community members, and featured rides on historical B-17 and B-25 bomber aircraft; vintage and modern aircraft displays; a classic car show; demonstrations by law enforcement and aircraft rescue and firefighting personnel; outreach booths staffed by aviation groups such as Civil Air Patrol and Bay Area Women in Aviation; and great food, drinks, and ice cream to satisfy the attendees who came to know a lot more about their local airport.
